According to the International Living’s Annual Global Retirement Index 2018, Malaysia has gained accolades as one of the world’s top 5 places to retire in. Though it sounds fantastic, it dampens the spirit when there are news that some of the nursing homes in Malaysia are not providing reliable services despite charging a premium rate.
Possible problems seen in some of the nursing homes:-
When deciding on our choice of nursing homes, it is important to note that the nursing home is registered under the Private Healthcare Facilities And Services Act 1998 (Act 586). As per Act 586 definition, nursing care is defined as care given by a registered nurse in accordance to a medical practitioner’s directions.
I would like to stress that at My Aged Care, this is one less thing you need worry about. As licensed homely facilities go, we always maintain our professionalism in providing amicable care to our elderly residents in a homely, warm and secure environment.
Not only do we have round the clock supervision, personal care assistance and health care services, we also provide our residents with balanced meals, exercises and even physiotherapy! What’s more, we even have nutritious home cooked meals for our residents to accommodate their special dietary requirements along with an afternoon snack.
Here at My Aged Care, we offer triple sharing rooms, twin sharing rooms as well as single rooms in a hotel-like setting for our clients to choose from, along with a team of dedicated nurses and care givers. We have common areas such as the dining room, recreational centers and gardens which are open to all.
In addition, we also encourage mental stimulation as well as social interaction amongst our residents. By engaging in social interaction, issues such as social isolation or depression can be tackled. Our residents also have the choice to customize their own daily routine and they are encouraged to continue on with their social activities and hobbies.
With regards to their health care needs, we have medically trained staffs to ensure our residents’ medical needs are fulfilled. In addition, they are regularly assessed by a doctor, who in consultation with their families, will prepare individual programmes for each resident. For more info on our nursing care services, click here to contact us.
